If you are having a timeout error when clearing EEPROM or Installing firmware, there is not communication between the RAMBO board and your computer (Ardunio)
Ardunio is constantly releasing updates to their software keeping us on our toes making sure firmware is working with the most current versions. Make sure you are using a version of Arduino that is listed as stable in our assembly guides.
If you are still having issues, please uninstall that version or Ardunio and install this version: http://arduino.cc/download.php?f=/arduino-1.6.0-windows.exe
If this is not applicable to your problem then you should check the following:
- Have you installed the USB Driver from our website: http://download.seemecnc.com/RAMBOUSBDRIVER.zip
- Have you selected the board type in Ardunio: Ardunio Mega or Mega 2560
- Have you selected the processor type in Ardunio: ATMega256 (Mega2560)
- If using a Windows computer, have you selected the COM Port in Ardunio: This value is assigned by your computer and is specific to your computer
- Is the printer turned on (your LCD controller should be backlit blue (with rows of boxes in the first and third row for new machines))
- Is the printer connected to the printer with the USB cable
